From early childhood I was raised around horses. My father was a horse trainer and the family name continues today through myself, Kim Loy Racing on the Gold Coast, Queensland.

Kim Loy Racing operates from Traintech adjacent to the idyllic Gold Coast Turf Club, the stable itself is nestled in peaceful and tranquil bush and lake surroundings. Michael Johntson and I have a dedicated and trusted team of professionals operating an advanced and trusted thoroughbred stable.

I offer over 27 years of expert experience. involved in equestrian and show-jumping from the age of 5. Internationally I have represented Australia in Hong Kong in show-jumping then moving to major stables before turning my hand to Race Trainer which has been a life long dream.

I have been involved within the racing industry since the age of 16. As mentioned my father was a predominant horse-trainer for over thirty years.He passed on ethical and advanced programs, training skills and equine management to me and.like my father my training is focused on establishing a solid foundation of the basics and then gradually building on that foundation to produce a finished and well trained race horse.

Advancing through the ranks from stable-hand to track-rider for Frank Cleary, I have been fortunate enough to have worked with some distinguished trainers in the industry such as Brian Guy and held the position of Stable Foreman for Gillian Heinrich for 4.5 years and Stable Foreman for Trevor Bailey for 2.5 years.

I am supported by a professional team that includes stable equine veterinarians, farriers and my partner. former leading Jockey, Michael Johnston. Michael comes with a wealth of local and international horsemanship experience and knowledge, riding over 500 winners. working with some of the best trainers Australia has produced including Bart Cummings, Frank Clearly, Lee Freedman and Jack Denham. Michael successfully rode for American Trainer, Garry Fraser in Dubai, employed as first stable jockey. Throughout his career he has won three SERA consecutive Jockey Championships.

Thoroughbred training and racing is my specialty and my stable also cater to breaking-in, pre-training and selecting horses for sales and,or leasing.
